Project Information
Description
Partners for International Business (PIB) is a programme that allows Dutch businesses to enter into a public-private partnership to realise their international ambitions. The goal of the new strategic partnership is to develop a “Dutch approach towards sustainable development of the inland waterway shipping sector and associated infrastructure in Vietnam”. The new partnership has been formed under the Partners for International Business (PIB) programme of RVO and has adopted the name Vietnam Netherlands Waterborne Partnership (VINWAP). The PIB VINWAP is formed of a consortium of Dutch companies and knowledge/training institutes and works together with the Dutch Government. The Vietnamese counterparts of government, private sector companies and knowledge institutes, are represented by the Vietnam Inland Waterways Administration (VIWA), Vietnam National Maritime Administration (VINAMARINE) and Vietnam Maritime University (VINAMARU). The cooperation is in this sense a good example of the Dutch Golden Triangle concept, where innovation is driven by a cooperation of the government, private sector and knowledge institutes in the international arena.
Period of involvement of Delta Context: Commenced in May 2020 and ongoing.
