Delta Context is one of the consultants’ members involved in the Technical Assistance to Design an Umbrella Investment Program for the Restoration of the Rivers surrounding Dhaka City (TA UIP Dhaka Rivers – ‘Beautification of Dhaka’) in Bangladesh. Delta Context is providing institutional services and inland waterway related content to Royal HaskoningDHV who is leading a team which comprises of international Consultants Defacto and Bangladeshi Consultants DevCon. 

To achieve the strategic objectives for the restoration of the Rivers surrounding Dhaka city and their respective services, a holistic, long term strategy for integrated river management is needed. This strategy forms the basis to prioritize and align future investment projects. This manual will describe the methodology for the strategic assessment and prioritization of future projects. The prioritization of future projects forms an important element of the Umbrella Investment Program Dhaka Rivers (UIP Dhaka Rivers). The Government of Bangladesh has requested World Bank support to provide Technical Assistance (TA) services to the design of an Umbrella Investment Program aimed at the Restoration of the rivers Surrounding Dhaka City. The Technical Assistance is a grant of the World Bank.
