Jean-Henry

Mr. Jean Henry (Harrie) Laboyrie, with more than 35 years of working experience, is a Port, Coastal and River Engineer with a MSc. Degree of the Delft University of Technology in The Netherlands and the owner of Delta Context. Before he was one of the Main Partners of CDR International from The Netherlands. At INSEAD Fontainebleau in France, Mr. Laboyrie has followed Management and Finance training. Previously he has held the position of Director Global of the Business Line Rivers, Deltas & Coasts at Royal HaskoningDHV. Prior to that he was Director Strategic Business Development, Director Global Solutions and Director of Water and Coastal & Rivers Asia. Prior to that he was managing sales-and information technology departments within Delft Hydraulics (nowadays Deltares) and Maritime Simulation Centre BV both from the Netherlands. In his field of technical expertise he has been active in soil conservation, hydraulic structures, revetments, and groynes, rehabilitation of coastal defence works, ports, inland waterway studies, river morphology, bank protections, master planning, economic studies, institutional strengthening, shipping, water management, public private partnerships, construction supervision and feasibility and cost-effectiveness studies. Furthermore Mr. Laboyrie has been advising on coastal, ports, maritime projects, river engineering, inland waterways, water management, environmental and social safe guarding and hydraulic projects in countries abroad, including: Nigeria, Vietnam, Guyana, Trinidad & Tobago, Indonesia, Bangladesh, The  Gambia, Sri Lanka, Guatemala, Colombia, Malaysia, Thailand, Hong Kong, Singapore, Lebanon, Russia, Bulgaria, Palestine, Armenia, India, Iran, Cambodia, Surinam, China, Philippines, South Korea, Israel, Myanmar, Laos,  Rwanda, Maldives, Uganda, Romania, The Netherlands, Kenia, Tanzania, Bhutan and Cameroon.
