Alexia Sotiriadou

Ms. Alexia Sotiriadou is a Coastal, Port and River Engineer with a MSc. Degree of the Delft University of Technology in The Netherlands and a MSc. Degree of National Technical University of Athens in Greece. Before joining she has been employed as a Graduate intern in Deltares and Port Consultants Rotterdam and has worked with CDR International. In her field of technical expertise she has been active in preparation of feasibility and cost-effectiveness studies, designs of coastal and riverbank protection structures, inland waterway studies, port master planning, water management and economic studies. Alexia is actively involved in engineering projects in Bangladesh for more than two years, with focus on flood risk, strategies for enhancing coastal resilience, designs for combatting erosion. Being eager to contribute in countries’ livelihood improvement while introducing innovative concepts and technologies looking at the physical context is one of Alexia’s strong attributes. Additionally, she is efficient in coordinating projects, dealing with the communications with the client and the various partners and including stakeholders. She has also experience in organizing and executing workshops from early stage of the project until closure. Alexia has professional working experience in Bangladesh, Myanmar, India, The Netherlands, Greece and Italy.
